id: two photos. The first is a of a grey backpack with two patches on it. they are white text on black fabric. The first says “accessibility isn’t a privilege” and the second, below it, says “it’s a right.”

The second photo is of the patches from where they are adhered to the bag. The border stitching and text is visibly three dimensional from this angle. The stitching of everything is perfectly tight. /end id]

I got my patches from @vaspider ’s etsy (link to it here) a few days ago, and had time to put them on last night and today!

I used the tulip brand fabric glue from Michael’s that was smaller than the rest but the same price, figuring it is a more specialised glue. I haven’t worn my bag out yet, as it only finished curing this afternoon (and I let it cure an extra six hours just to be safe), so I don’t know if they’ll stay. However, they feel solidly and properly glued.

The patches are beautiful! So well made. While I didn’t expect any less, receiving them took my breath away. These are custom one-of-a-kind patches that I ordered, and I’m thrilled to see them! And for them to be so great! :D

While I probably could have gotten them cheaper someplace, I love this etsy so much, and I know they’re great quality and exactly what I want in a company (a family, devoted to quality goods, openly anti-n/azi, anti-te/rf, anti-racism, anti-ableism, all of that. they’re an amazing group of people who do everything as ethically as possible.

10/10, highly recommend. <3

Disability benefits should be the equivalent of a full time job on living wage. Things don’t cost less because you’re disabled - in fact you often have additional costs of living. You shouldn’t be forced into poverty because you are disabled.

I have a headcanon that Hermione insists her children attend some primary muggle schooling before Hogwarts, just as she had done. Now, imagine Arthur Weasley attending his grandchild’s science fair, being the ultra proud grandfather….and yet also completely geeking out over absolutely EVERYTHING.

Canon

“That is a volcano, that is a VERY SMALL VOLCANO, how - young lady, how did you make this? Baking soda and food coloring? MARVELOUS!”

the kids would love him.

Never have I ever loved anything more than I love this

All the muggle teachers would think he was being so adorable, “pretending” not to know how potato batteries and mini-volcanoes work, fawning over the hard work the kids did on even the simplest the projects. And he comes every year, because after the kids have aged out (”gone on to some boarding school in Scotland,” the teachers say over bad coffee in the break room, “they didn’t seem the type”), he gets an honorary invitation to the fair every year, because he never stops making the kids feel smart and good.

No harm to any religion. It’s just a lamp ads by an Australian company. However, it’s funny!

I’m going to cry 😂😂

Ahaha, the reason why Mohammad is specifically mentioned as not being able to be there is because in Islam, portrayals and portraits of Mohammad are forbidden.  But they didn’t want to be seen as either hand waving him as at the table but not shown or as explicitly omitted.

Very smart move there advertising script writers.

This is so wholesome

was that last dude a frikkin Jedi

In Australia more than 70,000 people (0.37%) declared themselves members of the Jedi order in the 2001 census.  Now granted, many of them were taking the piss but that is if nothing else a lot of piss-takers.  An even greater percentage of the New Zealand population self-identified as Jedi in the 2001 census - 1.5%, which to put it in perspective is 0.3% more than said they were Buddhists.  We’re due for another census this year (the normal five year pattern got thrown off by the Canterbury earthquake in 2011 so the most recent one was 2013) and due to popular demand it appears that on the new forms, there will actually be a box you can mark for Jedi, rather than it being a write-in option.  (They’re also going to include things like identifying more denominations of Christianity and Judaism and more recently formed systems like Falun Gong, but obviously it’s the Jedi who make for a fun headline.)

So including a Jedi at the table of religious figures reflects an actual cultural (if not sincerely religious) phenomenon in this part of the world.

OP’s typo mislead me so hard, I was wondering when LAMPS where gonna get into the picture

“Batman has more than one son,“ I say into the mic.

The crowd boos. I begin to walk off in shame, when a voice speaks and commands silence from the room.

“She’s right,” I hear. I look around for the owner of the voice. There in the fifth row, he stands: Bruce Wayne himself.

“What does he know about Batman” the crowd replies and resumes booing. Bruce Wayne discreetly leaves the room. In an unrelated turn of events, a voice speaks from above. “She’s right,” I hear. There crashing through the skylight: Batman.

It’s wild how a black male character will be friendly towards people in canon and on the screen but the second he’s friendly with a white girl, white women in the fandom will make like a million posts about how he was flirting or trying to come on to the girl without her consent, blah blah blah.

But let a white male character actually like beat the shit out of the same white girl character on screen and they can psychoanalyze how every hit was a silent declaration of love or some shit.
